This blog will be mainly focused on my own experiences with computers and software. Both I am using now purely as a user and hobbyist. Also I comment on interesting news about ICT, privacy and combinations of both.

Pano's virtual desktops go from zero to hero
The Register has a first impression of Panalogic's zero client VDI. A thin client so thin that even a operating system is absent. It is the ultimate dumb graphical terminal from the mainframe era but now with X86 servers more powerfull then this old mainframes. Although most people certainly do not like to go back to the old day with green and black 24x80 characters screens of course. Funny thing though: the recent Microsoft bare metal server/hypervisor do not have a graphical interface at all!
